Kanye West: Dont Look Down

When Kanye first appeared on the scene with his first single he was a college dropout that told us Jesus Walks and in a short while he was telling us how he touched the sky. Kanye connected with an audience that nobody else could and in a way that nobody else could. The audience that he connected with were the young Hip Hoppers and you can see he influence that he's had in the music from the new artist, and also some of the veterans have started to copy his style not only with rapping but in producing. He has undoubtedly solidified himself as a Hip Hop legend, but at what cost? He used to tell us story's of  how Jesus walks but now he's telling us story's of mosters and of how the Phoenix rises. In the G.O.O.D Music cypher at the 2010 BET awards he told us "I sold my soul to the Devil, that's a crappy deal, but at least i go a couple toys" and even Common said "i do things that the monsters do".Seems like that's the only way to obtain that legendary status in Hip Hop these days. But never the less he has risen to un-imaginable hights, but he was right when he told us that "no one man should have all that power" so i hope he doesn't look down, it's an impossible view.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uI3dPyYVQY4
