Cory Gunz: Bars for days

Cory Gunz blew us all out of the water with his verse on Lil Wayne's 6'7 with his refreshing rhyme scheme, it is reminiscent of Big Pun's flow with his quick, witty, tongue twisting rhymes. He's generated a huge buzz with his tv show on MTV which they cleverly named "Son Of A Gun", there is a little situational irony with that name seeing as he literally is the son of Hip Hop legend Peter Gunz. His pops had a big hit back in the day called "Up Town Baby", it helped shape the scope of Hip Hop in New York and was a New York anthem. I have heard all of his mixtapes that came out in the past 3 years and he hasn't really came with any heat of his own yet, granted, his verse on 6'7 is undoubtedly hot but it's not his song. Watching his show it seemed to me like he can't make decision without his pops. Thats not the way to be in the sink or swim business of the music industry. I'm looking forward to seeing how he progresses because he is a great lyricist and he ate Lil Wayne on his own single, not many can do that, and he's nice when it comes to freestyling. here is the link to a video of him freestyling  http://www.worldstarhiphop.com/videos/video.php?v=wshhmzk6SiuWr1iQVLOI
